Data Analyst Seminar - New direction for IT students

Nowadays, the demand for recruiting personnel in the data analysis industry has increased sharply due to the increasing amount of human-generated data; thereby job opportunities for those pursuing data analytics are extremely open.

Data analysis is a new direction chosen by many people in the context of the industrial revolution 4.0 which entails the demand for data analysis to increase remarkably.

Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi University of Industry in collaboration with VTI company organized a seminar with the theme "Techsharing: ART OF DATA ANALYSIS - Going on the right path, Reaching the right destination" to provide students the necessary knowledge about data analytics and help them decide the right direction for themselves in the future.

At the beginning of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Quyet - CEO of VTI Academy introduced VTI company, VTI is known as a software company providing services for major partners of Japan, Korea, Vietnam,... in the fields of securities, finance, insurance and large manufacturing such as Hitachi, Toyota, Samsung, LG, Vingroup ... etc. In addition, VTI has combined with a variety of new technologies such as AI, ML, Cloud Computing, Blockchain, etc to improve the quality of their products to meet the needs of partners and users in the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Su - Senior Data Scientist provides useful knowledge and proper awareness of data analytics, an overview of current development trends and recruitment criteria of IT companies in Vietnam.

The students of the Faculty of Information Technology also had the opportunity to discuss the position, advantages and difficulties of the Data Science industry; qualities of a Data Science engineer; the relationship between Information Technology, Computer Science and Data Science; development trend of Data Science in the field of Economics and Health in the future; The skills students need to succeed after graduation, etc…

From the knowledge gained at the seminar, we hope that the students will reap new technological achievements and become more discerning when orienting themselves.
