1. Formation and development process:

The Faculty of Information Technology was established on July 5th, 1999 according to Decision No. 115/TCHC of the Rector of Hanoi College of Industry.

Over the years, the faculty has provided thousands of graduates for the labor market. Most of them find a job right after graduation. They have had a firm foothold in society and they have made the position of the faculty and the school elevated.

2. Achievements:

In recent years, the lecturers and students of the faculty have gained great achievements in many fields which are contributing to the development of the school.

* Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister:

Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2014.

Informatics OLYMPIC Competition:

- In 2004: First prize for the team, 02 runner-ups and 01 Third prize for individuals.

- In 2005: 01 Runner-up for the team, 01 Third prize and 2 Consolation prizes for the individual.

- In 2006: 01 Runner-up for the team, 01 Runner-up and 02 consolation prizes for the individual.

- In 2020: 01 gold medal, 01 silver medal.

* Excellent Teacher Competition: Lecturers of The Faculty of Information Technology achieved many high prizes in Excellent Teacher competitions organized by the school and Hanoi city.

- In 2008: 01 First Prize at the National level; 01 First Prize and 01 Second prize at the city-level.

- In 2010: 01 first prize and 01 Second prize at the city level

- In 2012: 01 Third Prize at the National level, 02 Second Prizes at the city-level.

=> With the achievements gained over the years, the Faculty of Information Technology has been continuously recognized as an excellent advanced unit. The lecturers and students of the Faculty of Information Technology have been awarded many noble awards, including the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit for the Faculty of Information Technology in 2015.

The faculty of Information Technology is equipped with working rooms and computer rooms from 6th to 9th floor of A1 building. With full modern equipment to meet working and training requirements of all levels, including:

- 13 computer rooms

- 3 conference rooms

- 04 LAB rooms, 01 computer maintenance room.
